Position Title: Manager Legal Operations

We are looking for a Legal Operations Manager who will be responsible for management of Legal Department non-attorney staff and Legal Department administrative operations under the head of the Legal Department’s overall direction.

Required Skills:

 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Responsible for overall management of the non-attorney staff and legal department administrative operations. Recruit, hire, train, counsel & mentor, oversee workflow and team’s professional development. • Responsible for assisting head of the Legal department with overseeing the day-to-day operational functions of the legal department and to facilitate the efficient, high quality and transparent provision of legal services support by or through the legal department team. • Assist head of Legal Department with planning and goal-setting as well as departmental leadership meetings and activities. • Serve as the Legal Department lead operational liaison and escalation point and develop strong relationships with all COEs. • Oversee operational aspects of routine Legal staff functions, including processing of Payroll Services Agreements (PSAs), Master Subscription Services Agreements (MSSAs), exploratory non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), and subpoenas • Manage and advance all technology systems, programs and business processes used by the Legal Department for maximum performance and efficiency and associated cross-functional work with other affected departments to ensure integration and adoption. • Handle primary legal review of Company operations policies, particularly emanating from Technology and Finance • Provide appropriate business/legal support to attorneys and assigned COEs, including transactional and litigation paralegal work. • Perform all other duties requested by Senior Vice President & Chief Labor Counsel.

Required Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree required or equivalent experience and a minimum of ten (10) years of prior relevant experience. • Paralegal Certificate desired. • Legal administration technology experience desired. • PC, Adobe Acrobat, Filebound, SharePoint, SalesForce, Secretariat, Footprints and Microsoft Office experience at an intermediate level. • Ability to manage and coordinate one’s time effectively and able to work on the tasks. • Has knowledge of contract law principles and shows ability to interpret contracts. • Ability to effectively organize and prioritize one's work. Ability to identify and resolve personal time management conflicts and adapt to time pressures. • Ability to verbally communicate, across organization and within division, complex ideas into simple, easy to understand concepts via conversations, presentations, and discussions; listens actively and confirms understanding. • Ability to create materials that communicate complex ideas into simple, easy to understand concepts. • Ability to be detail-oriented and focused on the task at hand. • Has sufficient understanding of and experience with law department technology tools used to enhance overall operations and results.
