The Director of Human Resources oversees all facets of human resources to attract, retain, motivate, train and mentor employees to excel and build competencies for continued career advancement. Areas of particular focus include branding and talent acquisition, compensation and benefits, employee relations, and HR systems and analytics.
The HR Director creatively drives new initiatives that are impactful, cost effective and aligned with business practices. An eye towards technologically advanced systems that maximize the efficient delivery of information while building understanding and developing talents are essential. This position reports to the COO and Managing Partner. The firm is dynamic and growing and Director level positions are expected to have foresight to present and launch new initiatives without being confined by a job description. Develop HR systems, initiatives and communications that promote the firm’s brand. Develop and implement a talent acquisition pipeline that ensures the selection of exceptional employees. Build insightful analytics for decision making. Create an infrastructure that builds employees’ skills and career advancement, recruiting at all levels, retention program oversight, oversight of recruiting agency relationships, career pathing program oversight, training & development program oversight, firm branding oversight (Mass Action, Best Law Firm to work for, evaluation of social media sites – Glass Door, LAW 360 etc.), HR reporting (retention, recruiting, etc.) Employee Relations, HR Legal and Policies and Procedures and development of a strong employee relations program to address concerns and claims in a fair and effective manner while adhering to all legal requirements.
